What are Michigan’s Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Laws?

It is illegal in the United States to operate a motor vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08% or higher.  If a Michigan driver’s Blood Alcohol Content is determined to be above the legal limit of 0.08%, the first DUI offense penalties for the State of Michigan are:

  • Up to 93 days imprisonment
  • $100 – $500 fine
